Terms of Service

By installing or using the Headcam app for iOS or Android, the QuickFeed OBS plugin, or the USB Companion app (together, "Headcam"), you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use Headcam.
What Headcam is
Headcam is software that turns your phone into a head tracker and camera for your own PC. It runs entirely on your devices and does not require an account.
License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Headcam on devices you own or control. You can use it for any purpose, including commercial streaming. You may not resell, repackage, or redistribute the software, and you may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the binaries except where that right cannot be waived under applicable law.
Purchases
Headcam is free to install. Headcam Pro is a single one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro appearance features for the lifetime of the app on the store account that bought it. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Prices shown in the app are set per country and include VAT or local sales tax where it applies.
The purchase is made from, and processed by, the store you installed from: Google Play for Android, Apple's App Store for iOS. We never see or handle your payment details. Because the entitlement is tied to your store account rather than to an account with us, restoring purchases on a new device is done through that store.
We may change the price of Headcam Pro at any time. A price change never affects a purchase you have already made.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, under that store's refund policy: Google Play or Apple, as applicable. Ask them first, and get in touch if you can't get it resolved.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. That right ends once the download and use of the content begins with your agreement, which is what happens when you complete the purchase in the app. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
Availability
Headcam for iOS is available on Apple's App Store and Headcam for Android on Google Play. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Headcam, and we don't guarantee that any particular feature will keep working across future OS versions, devices, or third-party tools.
Your content
Anything you capture, stream, or record with Headcam belongs to you. We never see it. You are responsible for what you do with that content and for complying with the rules of any service you stream or upload to.
Acceptable use
Don't use Headcam to break the law, harass people, or capture footage of others without their consent where consent is required. Don't use it to interfere with the integrity of competitive games in ways their operators prohibit.
No warranty
Headcam is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that it will work with any specific game, OS version, hardware combination, or third-party tool, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Headcam. Our total liability for any claim relating to Headcam will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Third-party services
Headcam interoperates with third-party software like OBS Studio, OpenTrack, and various games. Those tools have their own terms and licenses. Apple's App Store terms apply to the iOS app, and Google Play's terms apply to the Android app. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Changes
We may update these terms as Headcam evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
